I grew up surrounded by art. My mom has been a graphic designer, art teacher, and fine artist for a while and she was definitely the one that exposed me to a lot of styles, techniques, and artists! I drew a lot and took some art classes growing up, but I didn’t really start taking it seriously until I was a junior in high school. I was inspired by skateboard graphics, street art, cartoons, tattoos and lowbrow culture. Looking at that imagery made me look at art as something that didn’t have to be taken seriously all the time. I then started doing illustrations of wacky characters and themes because it was the most natural and fun way of drawing to me. Since then, I have been developing more as an artist and have done commission work for local companies and bands, have been designing t-shirts and skate decks, and am now a tattoo apprentice.
